Busy

16th August 2006 is a packed day. events started at 0800hrs and lasted till 2330hrs. Wow!

The day kicked off with a project 1 lab. This is a session where tutors (PhD) students) will be in the lab giving advice, and to answer any questions. Then its lectures till 1300hr.

After that, its a trip to Indooroopilly, a town nearby (nearby as in within the zone, but still need to take a bus) to buy some components for the team project. Bought a off-peak ticket (0900hrs to 1530hrs and after 1900hrs) cos there's another lecture at 4.

The name of the store is 'Dick Smith Electronics'. Had some trouble finding it as it was supposed to be 'near' the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. Luckily, a friendly petrol kiosk attendant pointed us to the place... it was some 400m away.

Spent some time there inside the store. by the time we (kevin and I) stepped out of the store, it was already 1500hrs. hmm... means we've only 30 minutes to catch our lunch and head back to school, or else the ticket will expire. Hurried back to the shopping centre, went to check on the next available bus timing (1527hrs).Bus stops here shows timings of which the bus will arrive and the drivers were pretty much on time.

still got time to grab some food. Went inside the foodcourt. An Australian foodcourt consists of mac, hungry jacks a.k.a BK, Subway, and stores selling sandwiches, kebabs. Got myself a whooper meal for A$6.35 from hungry jacks. Its good. better than the one in Singapore. Beef patty is so much juicer.

Just completed some component fixing onto the breadboard for project. And NOW is my only free time to blog.

Tomorrow is a public holiday here in Queensland only. Its Ekka. Its a BIG BIG carnival where Queenslanders showcase their domestic animals. A major masar malam. Will be reporting tomorrow? on the event.
