National Day

1st time "celebrating" National Day over here in Aussie. Last year, the Singapore Student Society (SSS) wasn't around due to some problems handing over the finances, as I'd heard. This semester, the society was setup. My house-mate signed up. He received this "invitation" (as he's a member, I'm not) regarding this "celebration". RSVP. He's got 3 invites, and I invited.
Happily spent $2.70 sitting the ferry to Queensland University of Technology (QUT), anticipating the "local food". Queued up to register cos my house-mate signed me up. Had my name ticked, and asked if I'm a member, which I was not. was told that i need to be a member to get my ticket. Spent $5 for a club with hardly any sponsors and privileges (1 food outlet to be precise)... Sienz...

"Local food" was a thong-full of bee hoon and 1 chicken wing, as in the wing/drumlet. NOT wing and drumlet, super diluted bandung and 1/2? cup of Burbur-Hitam... Well... this is the newly setup SSS. No wonder seniors said don't join the SSS. Now I know. $5 down the drain... Yikes.

"Live" screening of NDP was streaming off the website (ok), but the network was pretty lousy. University of Technology got such lousy network ehh? Left the place when the water dew came onto the platform. But it was nice seeing something from Singapore, made in Singapore, like the advertisements. Chinese faces! Haha

Overall, bad organisation, food was bad, everything bad la. Bad bad bad.
