Every graduation in UQ, there will be temporary job offers from the University's Graduation Office. Duties are as follow:
1. Assisting the Graduations Office on the day of the ceremony (14 at St Lucia campus)
2. Acting as guest urshers
3. Staffing the information desk at graduation ceremonies and answering questions from graduands and their guest's.
4. Assisting with graduand registration
5. Assisting staff backstage
6. Acting as Marshal of the Academic Procession
7. Acting as Beadle (University Mace bearer)
8. Handing cylinders to the Chancellor on stage
9. Other tasks as directed by Protocol or Graduations staff
These posts will be paid at a casual rate of A$21.79 per hour. Amount of work may vary, but the minimum payment will be for 3 hours.
A$21.79/hr to do "sai gang". Wah liew eh.... Anyone interested???? I sure am. :-)
